Fundraising News!

Welcome back! Term 2 already … where does the time go? We hope everyone had a lovely holiday break and maybe even managed to spend some time relaxing!

Firstly, we hope you had a great time at Friday Fun. It was a huge success and raised over $5,000 to go towards classroom resources!

The Fundraising Committee would like to thank all the people that helped made Friday Fun happen.

Thank you to the families who made baked goods to sell, who donated jars and treats to go into the jars, and who donated their old toys and books so they could become someone else’s treasure.
Thank you to the parents who set things up, who helped out on the stalls, and then helped pack it all away, and also to those parents who showcased their businesses in our adult market.
Thank you to the school staff who helped on the stalls, who let us pour endless buckets of water on their heads, and who worked away behind the scenes to help make it all happen.
Thank you to the teachers and students in J1 and J2 who created the amazing mini golf course.
Thank you to the Pedal Prix team who let the kids discover what it’s like to sit in their cars.
Thank you to Westbourne Park Uniting Church who loaned us the dunking machine and games and helped fill up all the buckets and create the fun.
Thank you to our wonderful committee members who put in so much effort and make all the hard work fun.
And thank you to all the children who came and had a fabulous time!

And now for what’s coming up in Term 2 ..

The WPPS Disco is happening on Friday 28^th May – so the kids can get ready for a night of dancing, fun disco games and yummy treats! Check out the start and finish times for the different year levels below, plus keep an eye out for further information and ticket details via SkoolBag closer to the night itself.

Reception to Year 2 … 5:30pm – 6:45pm
Year 3 to Year 7 … 7:00pm – 8:30pm

And as mentioned, a Wine Drive for the parents will be happening this term also – more details will be out soon.

Scholastic Book Fair

Hello everyone!

To the Book Fair and Beyond! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon, so get ready for some out-of-this-world excitement!

You’ll go where no reader has gone before as you explore the coolest array of books in the cosmos.

We’ll be launching this stellar reading celebration in the Resource Centre from Thursday, 20th - Monday, 24th May.

Classes will be visiting the Book Fair and students will be creating their "Wish Lists". Parents are also welcome to visit.

Congratulations to James B from UC3, who recently won two gold medals at the State Gymnastics Championship at Titanium Stadium for Level 2 Open Roman Rings and Parallel Bars and was 4th overall in the state.
