Schoolzine - time to download the app
The term is coming to a close, so this is a good time to remind all our families, that from the beginning of Term 3, there will no longer be notifications coming through from Skoolbag.
Our website has been moved to Schoolzine, where you will also find all our school information. To go to the website, click on the link below.
Some of the advantages of our new website are:
- Live calendar (this enables you to click on an event/excursion, and obtain all the current information about that event/excursion, including permission forms etc)
- Online forms (eg Absentee)
- Standard information platform
To have all the school information at your fingertips, you need to download the app called SZapp. Szapp allows you to have the following information at your fingertips:
- Latest Notifications
- Latest Newsletter
- Contact details
- Website
- Old newsletters
- School Facebook page
- Calendar
- Forms (still being added)
Please also find below, instructions on how to install SZapp.

Fundraising News!
As we head towards the end of Term 2, we wanted to say a big THANK YOU for your support and generosity with regards to the fundraising events we have held so far this year. We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again … we couldn’t have done it without you!
Since our last newsletter, we have received a number of fundraising purchasing requests, from students, staff and parents – this is great, so please keep them coming! The support and generosity we have received from the school community has allowed us to already allocate funds towards a wide range of items. For instance, performing arts resources and equipment, flexible seating options for classrooms, plus new sandpit toys for Yard A. If you are interested in submitting a request, you can submit a request online via the Fundraising page on the new school website.
Our Winter Warmers Wine Drive was a great success – thank you to everyone who ordered a few bottles (or more!) to get you through the colder months. Your support helped us raise funds that will go towards developing a Jacaranda outdoor learning space.
Looking forward, Term 3 will see our biggest fundraising event of the year taking place – the annual WPPS Quiz Night on Saturday, 28th August. This years’ theme “Night at the Museum” will surely set the scene for a great night out! Event details will be sent out via SkoolBag/Schoolzine and there will be more information coming out over the coming weeks. (Check out our Save the Date below). Stay tuned …
Thank you again, for your support, involvement, and enthusiasm!

Marion City Band
Marion City Band is a local, not-for-profit community organisation that is sponsored by the City of
Marion. We provide music tuition and instrument hire at a low cost to people in the community
wanting to learn to play brass or percussion instruments.
Our training band, Heaven Brass, rehearses between 6 and 7pm on Tuesday nights during term time.
All ages and ability levels are welcome – this means that mum and dad can join in too!
Our training band provides a pathway into our senior bands which perform at a range of events
including the Australian National Band Championships and the Adelaide Christmas Pageant. Several
students from our program have gone on to study at the Brighton Special Interest Music Centre and
at the Elder Conservatorium of Music.
